I love whisky. Spirits in general but especially whisky. To make matters worse I tend to get a little obsessed over my passions in life! I’ve been enjoying whisky ever since I was allowed (beer was the blinder of choice before I was of age). I acquired the taste through my father…Irish whiskey…Black Bush to be exact. Funny enough he was the first to really introduce Johanne to the water of life as well...a simple “Here, try this…” at family BBQ. That was early in our relationship when she figured my family looked innocent enough so we must be trust worthy! I’m not sure what compelled her, whether it was wanting to fit in, maybe the little bull dog in her or just not wanting to look stupid but she knocked back a healthy swig of that glass and then immediately launched into a coughing and sputtering fit of convulsions! It was Ardbeg 10 year old and it was a glorious moment. I never did thank him for that…It’s a wonder she has such a love of Islay’s now, after that introduction you would think the mere suggestion would induce involuntary swearing. At any rate, Dad didn’t kill her, she didn’t run screaming (not for lack of reasons!), and our passion for whisky and each other continues to grow! We hope you enjoy our little musing and our twisted perspective on life and our favorite drink. “Here’s looking up your old lady…”
Our goal is to be unique...like everybody else! Basically we have searched the internet from top to bottom and back to front and have not been able to find what we are looking for. A whisky reference that appeals to both men and women but goes outside the typical conventions and injects fun, humor and pure enjoyment into our favorite topic!

The first "She" post!
She said: A perfect match is what Graham and I are. The whisky, fortunately, was a completely wonderful fluke that ended being an avenue for us to grow even stronger as a couple (I love you man! J). We are self proclaimed whisky enthusiasts (ok nerds!) to the point where many, many fantastic conversations during our dog walks ended with the creation of the Saint John Whisky Tasting Society in 2010 (35 members proud).
The blog seemed to be the next logical step as we both feel we have something to offer that’s slightly different than what’s “out here” right now. We hope you enjoy the humor, the information and of course the whiskies.
