Forty reasons to win a great bottle of Forty Creek Barrel Select

CONTEST CLOSED - WINNERS ANNOUNCED!   Thanks all.  :)

With father's day right around the corner, we thought we would try to entice people to win a nice bottle of Forty Creek Barrel Select. Canada's #1 rated whisky.

What do you have to do?  Simple:  Give us one reason you would love to have this bottle in your collection.

Just leave a comment on this post or send us an email.

On June 4th we will put all the entries in a nice hat and pick the winner at random.

Shipping/handling will be paid for for any Canadian entrant.  If a "non-canadian" entry wins, we will still pay for shipping and handling HOWEVER depending on the rules/regulation of your country, winner may have to pay duties/import taxes etc...

Enter as often as you like and as a friend of mine often posts on twitter:  "May the dram be with you!".

Thanks,

Graham/Johanne

  1. I'd love to have this bottle to share with my friends in Denmark who knows nothing about Canadian Whisky

  2. Because she sais (my daughter) that I'm the greatest dad in the world !! and because I'm a freak of whisky ! :)

  3. I'm a father of two (boy 11, girl 9). I am a hard core whisky fanatic. I'm also a whisky blogger who is currently exploring Canadian whisky and has never tried this particular dram. I'm also a huge fan of your joint blog which is so wonderfully crafted and is also a testament to whisky as a shared husband and wife activity which is so rare and really shouldn't be. I'm still searching for the "conversion dram" for my wife. I guess I shouldn't have given her "Spice Tree" last time! I've heard this is a seductive massage of a dram. Maybe it's the one!

  4. Down here in the desert of Arizona, it would be nice to have a great whisky from Canada to have from time to time. We tend to have limited selections of Canadian Whisky, and that's truly sad, as they can be some of the smoothest and best for dealing with our summers.

  5. I'd love to have this bottle as part of my collection because it is unavailable in South Africa, and thus I have not yet tasted it. The sad part is that I used to live in Canada, but it was before the whisky bug bit. Now I blog whisky, run whiskly clubs, yet I have not tried many Canadian whiskies - but I keep reading how good they are! Would love to try this baby and share it with the SA whisky community.

  6. I want to drink this whiskey through a camelback while I hunt lions on my bi-annual safari this winter. I don't always drink Canadian whiskey through my camelback, but when I do, it must come from the best barrels in the house. There. I said it.

  7. I'm afraid my collection is (right now) limited to Scotch and Irish, so this might launch me on a whole Canadian side trip. And after reading Rob East, is seems it would be awfully hand in case I ever do find myself on a safari. On a camelback.

  8. Basically because it's a hell of a nice whisky unavailable in Quebec.

All my reasons are there: http://wp.me/p2tLKQ-b7

  9. I'd love a bottle because it sounds amazing! That and the fact it's time I had more than purely Scottish whiskies in my cupboard. :-)

  10. Also... With it being fathers day soon, I'd love a bottle so that I can go and share it with my old man and have a proper lads evening. :-)

  11. Since it says I can enter multiple times, I'm gonna be cheeky and do just that! ;-) So another reason I'd love a bottle of this is that the bottle looks brilliant, would look great I'm my cabinet. :-)

  12. Why this bottle should be mine so I can show it off to all these Western Canadians who seem to think Jack Daniels is the only whisky ever invented!

  13. I would love to own this bottle - I took two of them to Barbados a week ago, and they were consumed by others - I think it is time for me to have a turn, all to myself!

  14. The thing I love most about whiskey is the way that it holds and concentrates the story of it's origin. We can taste years and years of moments all in one glass. I would like to win this Forty Creek so that I can share it with my friends and our stories. Alison Gayton (I Love Saint John Pottery)
